Mubasher: Shaista Asif, Co-Founder and Group CEO of UAE-based PureHealth Holding, led Forbes Middle East’s Top 100 healthcare leaders for the second consecutive year.
The ADX-listed group logged revenues of $3.40 billion (AED 12.50 billion) in the first half (H1) of 2024, while the assets hit $13 billion.
Said Darwazah, Executive Chairman of Jordan’s Hikma Pharmaceuticals came second in the list, followed by Sulaiman Al Habib, Founder and Chairman of Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group.
In the 2024 ranking, the UAE marinated its dominance, with 51 leaders, followed by Saudi Arabia with 23, and Egypt with eight.
Meanwhile, the GCC is witnessing a significant surge in healthcare investments, driving notable developments and new additions to this year’s ranking.
Mazen Fakeeh, who successfully led the listing of Fakeeh Care Group on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) in June 2024, also secured a ranking on the list.
Saudi Entities
Besides Al Habib, Nasser Al Huqbani, CEO of The Health Holding Company, came fourth on the list. Mazen Fakeeh, President of Fakeeh Care Group, secured the eighth position on the list, followed by Ayman Tamer, Group Chairman of Tamer Group.
Finally, Makarem Sobhi Batterjee, President and Vice Chairman of Saudi German Health, occupied the 10th position on the list.
UAE Entities
Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, Managing Director and Group CEO of M42, held the fifth place on the list.
Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, came sixth on the list, followed by Saeed Jaber Al Kuwaiti, Group CEO of SEHA, who was in seventh place.
